I met Ruben because he was my neighbor! :-) I had lived in the house that I'm in now for about 2 years and never even noticed that he lived back there. Then one summer we met.

Ruben is a great guy, with a wonderful sense of humor. He's always laughing and smiling and being funny. He loves to put his arms around me and smile over at me. I do the same to him. It's a great feeling! He always calls my boys his sons.. which means alot to me.. He knows that they have a dad and I know this too, and they see their dad alot, I just think it's great that he feels this way about them. March 2003, he told me that he wanted me to be his wife, that he wanted to marry me.

I love Ruben with all my heart and I know he feels the same way about me because he not only tells me that he loves me but he shows me that he loves me. I don't have to second guess if he's telling me the truth or not, like I have done with some relationships in the past. I know that he will be in my life now and for the rest of my life. Ruben is in a band with some of his family and he told me that he was going to interpret a few of the songs that he sings from Spanish into English just for me :-)

Ruben and I got married on Friday, July 23, 2004.. just the two of us and a judge. That's all I wanted and all I needed. We are going to have a bigger wedding and party later on when we have a little bit of time off work.
